Absolutely superb Makita quality as expected.

The saw arrived with its packaging providing more than ample protection. Item needed very little setting up and produced accurate cuts from the get go!

Fantastic machine, quality solid build

Although did need some fettling to get accurate.Great bit off BIG HEAVY kit. Pleased i went for the big one. Just need to add a Plunge saw next.

got this chop saw to replace my dewlat saw,I must say nice bit of kit I'm glad I chose this one as it meets all my needs. ffx is a great supplier and delivery was spot on time ! well happy

First class tool - but a shame that it arrived broken and took around a wk to rcv the replacement part

i upgraded to the Makita and thought i was spending too much for a hobbyist but defiantly not! It's cheaper than the Dewalt by about £80 and i can't see it being any better. FFX had 10% off which is what made me buy it. I've brought quite a few power tools from FFX, and they're always priced very competitive and delivery times are fast! which is what everyone wants when you're buying new tools.

Great saw, accurate straight out of the box. Best mitre saw I’ve ever had.

First impressions it looks solid and first few cuts it seems very capable better suited for cutting larger softwood sections. Ideal for site carpentry rather than cabinet work.

Best saw Ive had in ages. Made do with old Dewalt. Nice clean cuts. Does what I need it to do on site.10/10

Very nice saw, but also very heavy too

Great service

There is no positive 0 degree stop on the bevel which means you have to rely on the pointer on the zero mark which is prone to error and effectively means resetting with a square after each bevel cut. I have therefore returned the machine.

Excellent quality. More money than I had budgeted, but well worth it. Easy to install the blade and set up. Heavy and robust - ideal for a fixed installation. You wouldn't want to be carrying this between jobs. Needs a powerful vacuum attached to the dust extraction pipe or else the sawdust mounts up quickly. Glad I went for this cutting depth rather than a smaller saw.

Very impressive tool.

A big saw which handles most things I ask it to do in my workshop. I needed a big saw that could still sit fairly close to the wall so this ticked all the boxes. Very clean when hooked up to extraction or with the supplied dust bag. Smooth operation and extremely accurate with the added laser.

What apiece of kit. Other guys on site asked their boss to get one too.

As a carpenter and let other carpenters compare to their saw and most preferred it but we all agreed that on the Makita small mitre saw stand ....06 model it's to big and heavy so you will need to upgrade the their new stand with better mounting bracket. I will say the weight of it is heavier then most other saws.

It's a great saw. Lot of money but hopefully worth it in the long run.

Superb saw. Build quality is amazing. It's actually been upgraded by Makita, so the product images for this are a little out of date, the support arms either side are much more substantial and better designed. See the cordless version for an example. Blade it comes with is very good too. Fairly accurate out of the box. Needed a tiny bit of adjustment but no saw doesn't and this is very easy to tweak. Love it. Would definitely recommend. Although if your putting this on a portable stand, make sure it can take the size and weight. Many popular ones are not up to the job for this!

What a whopper....this saw is big, and heavy with it, but it cuts like a dream. Unfortunately I had to reset the cutting angle as it was out when I first got the saw out of the box....very unusual for Makita as I have had a few saws over the years and all was good from the start......but that is my only negative remark, everything else is great. With a 12” blade the amount of stock that can be cut in one pass is great. Love the extraction....really good. So far.....I love the saw, and love Makita tools full stop.

Great bit off kit, cuts through Oak Sleepers with ease...... should have brought this along time ago!!!

Accuracy is in a league of its own. Quality and ease of cut is fantastic. Smooth and quiet. I have not come across a mitre saw of this class before. The soft start makes this saw a dream.
