Demetrius silva, 11/06/2022These are genuine 18v 5ah Makita batteries. You either look after your tools and the batteries fail first, or you smash your tools and they fail first! If you're the latter then you buy new tools with new batteries, if you're the former then you need new batteries...i'm the former. These are genuine quality so cost more than the 'cheap copies' but they work like they're supposed to, unlike (in my experience) some of the after market batteries which tend to under-perform/catch fire/show faulty on chargers...

But the 5amp battery does last a long time, they are robust as they get used at times to club things into place. They DO charge in under an hour and i done a stock take the other day and found i had purchased 20 of these things in the last year. None so far have failed, nor have started to lose their power.
