DEWALT DCN692N 18V Brushless 50-90mm XR 1st Fix Nail Gun Bare Unit

Prior to ordering this gun I had read some horror stories about it. After recieving it I put it to work the next day on a 20 mtr x 1.8 mtr closed board fence. On the first day it performed perfectly. Had a few wee jams but I guess this was because of the knotted timber they were shooting into. Easy to remove from the end of the gun and away I went again. Day 2 had no jams at all as the fencing rails were better quality. It was a bit heavier than my gas gun but the bump feature is a game changer for double nailing. I double nailed the full fence in about 15 mins which is really quick. Over all very happy with the product. I've fired over 20 thousand nails of all sizes and so far so good. Time alone will tell how good this nail gun is but I will certainly put it through it paces.

This is my first nail gun after using screws and an impact drill for years and I have to say I’m very impressed it tuck a quarter of the time it would have to make myself some new gates

Replaced my old nail gun which used gas… what a difference. So much smoother, depth adjustment really good. Operation smooth. No gas requires. Downside is feels little bit heavier and loading nails takes bit of getting used to. Cracking bit kit really

Great product

As a few have mentioned it is a little on heavy side, although more manoeuvrable between 400mm joists centres, it is a powerful, low maintenance tool with no gas to worry about. Makes light work of studwork and framing.

Great bit of kit and of the expected quality - IMO, better VFM than other brands. I have the 2nd fix pin nailer so this was an obvious choice for me. Just completed a feather edge fence with it and very happy.

Really great gun, easy to use and works with my existing Dewalt batteries. Perfect for first fix work. Only downside was the weight of the unit but over £200 cheaper than my last gun and as it doesn’t use gas there is no need for annual servicing. Fired over 1100 nails and no misfires or jams.

Awesome, but it’s a Dewalt. As a joiner all I use is Dewalt. The only down side is the weight but that’s to be expected

Great gun has some kick to it, but time it save’s useing hammer don’t think I could go back to that now would recommend to anyone, ready to get second fix later on

This is the second generation of this particular 1st fix gun and I reckon it's far better than the first one

Great bit of kit, saves a lot of time on nailing projects

I’ve used air powered nailers in the past and although the DCN692 is heavier that a air nailer it’s well balanced and easy to used and does well in tight spaces even though it a big tool, it also is easy to clear if you get a nail jammed, over all a very good tool.

Nice piece of kit works very well but did not show you how to load nails in the manual. No probs though YouTube video showed how to do everything. A++++++++service

Dewalt 18 volt xR lion nail gun.best gun on the market. I have the top of the range gas nailer’s for work as well.but the Dewalt is ten times better to use .as well as powerful as I have become use to with all my Dewalt kit .and better still no gas to play up on the jobs.it’s the best on the market today .so glad I decided to buy one.

Great nail gun, read mixed reviews before, and was hesitant, but then did more research and saw they were type 1 or type 2, this is next gen up at type 3, and have had no issues with jamming or dud nails, i have used dewalt and Fischer nails with it. Gifted any free gas to other guys on site as this is pure battery powered.

Awesome bit of kit bit heavy on battery use but to be expected

Had been thinking about buying one of these for a while as almost all my cordless tools are DeWalt and it uses the same battery packs. Have done 3 big fencing jobs since buying it and it is brilliant, a 5amp 18v battery lasts all day. Only slight downside is that it is heavier than a gas nailer and you notice the weight if your using it all day. I like it so much I've now brought the DeWalt storage box for it.

Wow, This is good, So far just 1000 nails but all going well. Hard to believe 90mm nails go in so well, had a couple not right in but just gave them a clout with the hammer no big deal, great tool though glad I go it.

Très bonne machine, pratique car pas de gaz. Mais pas aussi rapide qu'une machine avec gaz. Un peu lourde.
